Blackstone rallied nearly 7% after reporting strong financial results. Steel Dynamics also saw a nearly 5% increase in its stock price after beating earnings and revenue expectations for the third quarter. On the flip side, shares of Walgreens Boots Alliance dropped about 5% after announcing plans to close about 1,200 stores over the next three years.
