Universal’s Epic Universe theme park is set to open on May 22, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. The park, which is the company’s fourth theme park and part of a 750-acre development, features five themed worlds: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – The Isle of Berk, Celestial Park, and Dark Universe.

Initially announced in 2019, Epic Universe represents the largest investment Comcast’s NBCUniversal has made in its theme parks business. Construction of the park was temporarily halted in July 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic but resumed in March 2021.

With the addition of Epic Universe, Universal aims to transform its Orlando resort into a weeklong travel destination, offering guests a comprehensive vacation experience. The park will be centered around the Loews Hotels’ Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room property with a dedicated entrance for hotel guests.

Guests will have the option to purchase multiday tickets and packages starting Oct. 22, which will include admission to Universal’s Orlando Resort and a day at Epic Universe. Annual passholders will also have early access to tickets for Epic Universe before they are available to the general public.

The opening of Epic Universe marks an exciting milestone for Universal Orlando Resort, offering visitors a truly epic experience that is sure to be unforgettable.
