The European Central bank (ECB) is projected to continue lowering Interest rates until at least the first half of 2025, aiming for a range between 2% and 3%, as stated by Dutch ECB governing council member Klaas Knot. Knot mentioned in an interview that the gradual reduction of Interest rates is expected to persist in the near future. He also foresaw Interest rates settling at a slightly higher level than pre-pandemic levels, possibly starting from 2%. The recent reduction in the ECB’s deposit rate by 25 basis points to 3.50% follows a similar cut made in June.
