  1. foreign firms are making less money in China is the reflection of how chinese domestic competitors are getting stronger today… those big legacy companies can no longer enjoy their easy money anymore…

  2. how did DW make such a conclusion? the reality is exactly the opposite, there are no better places in China that are more attractive in the world… the only reasons that some western companies are leaving is that they can not compete with Chinese domestic rivals…

  3. lol your entire car industry is increasing their investments in China, so what parallel universe does DW live in? The foreign companies leave China because they cannot compete with local brands, you think they don’t want the market? DW is very funny these days.

  4. We're just watching the beginnings of the great Chinese/Western split. China's not interested in foreign investment after America threw a hissy fit over them owning some land in America, and accusing them of adding spyware to all their chips to make it to where they have trouble selling stuff now. Use your heads. You're doing all this to yourselves, because you two are incapable to being honest with one another, and neither one of you truly know how to work as a team. You do evil stuff to each other, and threaten war. What did you expect would happen?

  5. Cars, mobile phones, laptops, etc, due to the intensified competitions among Chinese companies, the price is much lower to buy home-made brands than foreign brands. There are more and more machine-managed works. A lot of low-tech industries use robots rather than human. Robots are everywhere, in hotels, in restaurants, on the road (replacing taxi), factories. In the high-tech field, it is different.

  6. The advanced economies finally seem to have realized that China is not interested in playing by the established customs and rules for international trade. Its too bad because Chuna integrated in the world economy would be good. But China doesnt want to move to a level playing field, so it isnt going to happen.

  7. Isn't VW opening up a new mega factory in China?? And did BASF not shut down it's mega factory in Germany, just to relocate it to China?? Everyone is going to China. It is the world's largest market. If you want to survive, you need to be in China, simple as that.

  8. Everyone seeing this video knows the position of DW.. just DW never officially announced it.
There are different parallel worlds in YouTube, we must realise this.
Never too serious and please keep giving funny comments.

  9. Dw needs to get first handed and raw data plus information from the chinese, not repeating second handed information already flooding the internet.

Anyway, chinese has developed their own brand and became very sophisticated on a lot of products. So the old ways of making easy money they dont work anymore. Does that mean all foreign brands are totally screwed? Definitely not.

If you survey the chinese commoners, do they prefer germany, france, western brands, they would say yes. They would love to see foreign footprints even just stating the products are imported or originated from western countries 😂 and chinese like to have options too. Of the quality is equal or close to equal, a big chance the chinese customers would buy a imported good or sth that looks western.😂

Give you an example, iphone, do u know how much the chinese people love iphone brands? They queued up long for the first rubbish to come out every year.

However, again there no easy money to make, because people are looking for quality products with competitive prices

  10. Actually, most of foreign companies get difficult is just simply that their product is not competitive anymore comparing with domestic products,Ike VW, not really just simply economic struggling.

  11. Just listen to media from the West n leave ASAP, only clevers n Chinese stay to take up the rest profits. You still believe the media? Go see for yourself don't listen to heresy!! 😊

  12. Running a business is like boxing. There will always be new boxers on the scene, and they might even be your own students. You have to keep training and keep getting better. Otherwise, you would lose your title. Nothing is forever.

  13. It is only the losers who cannot win the competition that leave, otherwise it is their loss to leave China. China has the best infrastructure in the world, the best industrial workers, an efficient and clean government, abundant and low-cost energy, and of course, the most populous market.

  14. Is Tesla Shanghai leaving China ? Big firms come to China because they need something from China. They come to China because it was in their interest. They will go when its no longer so. C'est la vie. Adios amigos.
